30%-40% Chance of Rain

I see that in the Orlando area for our upcoming vacation, www.intellicast.com is showing a 30-40% chance of rain for the days we'll be there...

From any of you Floridians, what does this sort of rain chance translate to in most cases? A passing rain / storm a time or two during the day or 20 minutes worth of rain a time or two each day or what? Just trying to gauge what we'll do if we get more rain than expected.

There has been no rain here since Monday, hot hot hot, and according to the forecast here there is a slight chance of some rain.

That means 60-70% chance it won't rain! If you get showers it'll be in the late afternoon and just enough to make everything wet and sticky. Take an umbrella if you like but chances are you won't need it.

Unless there's a tropical wave or depression in the area (which there isn't), the rain chances are referring to thunderstorms and showers, which can materialize quickly and usually go away within 30 minutes. There is a safety concern for lightning, but that's something the theme parks and such are very aware of. They probably all have lightning detectors.

Do they close the rides at Disney, Universal and Seawworld when it rains?

What about the shows?
