Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress

We are thinking of staying at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress resort at the end of April 2012.....has any1 stayed here before? Is it a nice place? Are there restaurants, shops within walking distance?

I stayed there in 2008. You can walk to restaurants but the hotel is down a long drive so it would take 15-20 minutes.

We took taxis to DTD or drove to the Crossroads.

Stayed here twice before and going again on Friday. We love this hotel, great swimming pools and plenty of things to do. You can hire bikes, pedaloes, they have a climbing wall for the kids. You have to pay a resort fee of $20 per day per room, this includes transfers to Disney and all the resort facilities. We find it very central and only 5 minutes in the car to restaurants and DTD. You can only recommend a hotel on your own experience and ours has always been good at the Hyatt.

We have stayed there several times, most recently in May and like it very much. Great pools, lovely rooms and wonderful service. Not much within walking distance,I wouldn't stay here without a car.
