Traveling to Orlando and Renting a Car? Beware!!

There are a few gas stations near the airport who do not post their prices. Their gas prices are more than $2 per gallon higher than other Orlando stations. The city is charging these stations a $1000 dollar per day fine because they do not have their prices posted but the stations still find it more profitable to pay the fines and not post their prices.

When you return your rental car, fill up before you get very close to the airport and avoid stations who do not post their prices!!!

Thanks for letting us know. They have been several posts on here before about these gas stations. I guess they are still doing it !!!

Must be at least two years now that this is happening. I'm surprised they can get away with it for so long.

It will be interesting to see what happens after this.

Thanks for the "heads up" warning. We'll be there this weekend and will be renting a car.

Also be aware that it is not just gas stations near to the airport. I saw on the TV news that one on Vineland, just up from Premium outlets are overcharging too.

thedzoo, Dollar seems to be making a number of mistakes like that ... maybe a week ago a visitor from the UK reported he had a charge for a toll and he knew that on that day he was not in the area where that particular toll was located. And he was able to prove it and get a refund.

So I guess the moral of the story is to keep all toll receipts especially if you rent from Dollar.
