First day - what to do?

We will arrive at MCO at 3:30pm on April 21. Hope to arrive at Coronado Springs by 5 ish. What should we do? I'm thinking maybe go to Magic Kingdom, have dinner and see the parade and Wishes. Thought that might be a nice way to start out! I don't see EMH at any park for that evening. Travelling with DH and DS (9). Should we do a buffet or family style meal to avoid a long, drawn out sit down meal - we'll be anxious to see things, it being the first time! (no meal plan) Any comments or suggestions?

I'd go to Magic Kingdom for a few hours and watch the light parade.

As for eating the service is generally pretty quick anywhere you go, even if the food is a little uninspiring.

Arriving that late in the day, you aren't getting much "bank for your ticket buck" by visiting a park, but you can.

I'd prefer to head to Downtown Disney for the evening, have a meal there, then head in kinda early for an early start the next day. You may have a little jet lag anyway.
