Assume you mean Disney World and not Disneyland, yes ?

September and October are very good months for lower crowds. There are two holidays but they aren't Major Holidays. Kids have off from school for only one day for each

September 3rd is Labor Day but we have never noticed an increase on that day specifically,

Columbus Day is Oct 8th but doesn't impact the crowd levels by alot. There are Special Activities going on that will add to the crowd levels, the Food Wine Festival at Epcot draws in many extra people but mostly on the weekends and Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Parties, that are held at the Magic Kingdom on select nights but because that is a special ticket event ( only a limited number of tickets are sold ) it doesn't really impact the over all crowds during the day

You've posted in the Orlando, Florida forum where Disney World is located

Disneyland is in California.

To add to the confusion, both parks in both states happen to be in Orange County.

Google "Orange County School District" or "Orange County Public Schools" to look for the academic calendar for the state you are interested in. Local school schedule is a bit irrelevant though s there are more than just public schools locally and as people visit from all over the country and world and have different schedules.

I can't speak for Disneyland, but September is one of the lowest/least crowded times of the year for Disney World. October is slightly busier, but with nicer weather and several special events.

And, if you are worried about locals, there are several school districts in the Orlando vicinity. September would be your best bet, since even if the schools have any sort of break, it more than likely wouldn't be in September. Weather is nice, and crowds will be low!
