Runaway Beach Club Resort

Ever stayed here or know of anyone who has? Is it in a safe area?

Didn't ths place just re-brand from Mike Ditka's Resort? As I recall the reviews toward the end were not good at all. I'd give it a few months to see if they somehow manage to get their act together.

Nothing wrong with the area at all. It would be a convenient base for Disney, is near a Walmart, and quick to restaurants on 192 in Kissimmee or 535 Lake Buena Vista. This used to be an apartment complex that turned condo during the boom many years ago. Yes, it was branded with Mike Ditka at one point. Units would be spacious, they have two pools, and decent location with a car - that's about all I can say.

We stayed here about 5 years ago and the photos show the same décor. The pool area was very nice, but the condos were very tired, dirty carpets and furniture and less than helpful staff. We had trouble getting extra towels, etc. It is very convenient however. We chose not to stay there our last time and stayed at the Worldquest, which was more expensive but much nicer (however it is right on the freeway).
