Epcot Food & Wine Fest. 2013

Hi,

I'm looking at booking to go back next Sept 2013.

I would love our visit to coincide with the F&W festival. Is this on the same time of year, ever year? If I booked for the last 2 weeks in September am I likely to catch it?

I could do the last week in sept/ first week Oct if this helped.

They did start in September this year. I was going to go to see Night Ranger at the Food and Wine Festival the last weekend in September this year. Only, I found out that three 80's bands were free in Downtown Orlando on the same night. It runs from about the end of September until either the first or second week in November.

There is some good information about it on the Disney web site.

Thanks Surffish, I have read the info on 2012 on the WDW website.

It has just made me more determined not to miss it next year!

What actually is this event? Is it a case of you get to try different foods and wines from around the world? Also is it free to taste if that is the case?

Exact start and end dates vary. You can count on October. Sort of depends on which day of week October starts on. I would venture a guess of Sept 27 in 2013.

Cheryl, for more information about the F&W Festival, see this:

wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/…index.htm

Basically, WDW tends to run every big event both earlier and later every year. It used to be that the F&W Festival did not begin until October, and was done by early November, so it has expanded in both directions. I think 1031 is correct that next year's festival will begin by at least 9/27.

No cheryl, the food & drink are not free. :( The tastings of food are between $2 and $5 and the alcoholic beverages run between $5-$9. I've been two years in a row (2011, 2012) and, while it is great and a lot of fun, I was disappointed that the countries had the same menu items as the previous year. No changes at all!

Anyone else feel like the beer ar morocco was just miller lite and the authentic egg roll was a 7-11 taquito? I would bet $ on both.

Not worth it. Everything was really expensive.
