Any preference on the Beach Club vs. Yacht Club resorts or are they essentially the same hotels? Thank you.
Never stayed at either resort but have been there for different dining. They share the same pool that looks fab, they also share the same Disney Bus. Cape May Cafe is located inside the Beach Club and is my favorite spot for breakfast. While on the bus they are about 200ft apart it seemes and the Beach Club is the last stop of Deluxe Resorts. The Beach Club also has no bus service to Epcot or HS. You walk to Epcot and take a boat to HS. Not sure if that matters but at the end of a long day walking back seems crazy to me.
In terms of looks they look like sister resorts.
You can also take a boat to Epcot from both Yacht and Beach Clubs. The walk is maybe 10 minutes from the back of Epcot (International Gateway) and about 20 mins from HS.
Have never stayed at either one, although we do stay at Boardwalk often, which is across the lake from BC/YC. We love the convenience of walking to/from Epcot and HS and enjoying walking around the boardwalk (usually for a pastry and cup of coffee) in the evenings when we get back to the resort.
Beach Club Resort consists of regular hotel rooms, plus DVC units (suites and villas).
Here is the link to the conversation about this last week:
They are basically connected and easy to get from one to the other. However, the theming is a little different. Yacht Club feels a little quieter and more adult (although there were plenty of kids around!), Beach Club cultivates a more casual feel.
With kids - beach club
Adults only - yacht club
Thanks everyone! Great Tips!
