Do you have to have Disney ticket to enter Downtown Disney

I am planning a family trip to Orlando, but we are not going to DIsney, as we have been there before and this time want to experience Universal studios.

I was wondering if one day we could walk through downtown Disey, or can this area only be entered through Disneyland itself? I have been there twice but went to Disney both times so I have no idea.

Also, if it can be accessed, could we take the I-ride trolley to get there? TIA.

Don't know about the I trolley but there's no cost to get into DTD, or for parking :)

You can walk around Downtown Disney, no entry fee required.

The I trolley does not go as far as Disney, therefore you would not be able to access Downtown Disney by it.

There is no cost to enter Downtown Disney.

Hope this helps.

You can get a Lynx bus to DTD. The I Ride does not go there.

Just visited Downtown Disney for the first time (4 adults and 1 teen). Free parking - arrived at 5pm and drove up and down the closest aisles until we found someone leaving (there were many doing this and it worked). Walked right up to Ragland Road Irish Pub for outdoor seating for dinner. Excellent. I can't imagine spending more than a couple of hours at Downtown Disney. I guess you can bowl or take the tethered hot air balloon ride. Otherwise, it's restaurants and bars and some shops. Basin is a great shop. The huge Disney store is nice but overwhelming.

There was (free) live music last time we were there in the evening.

There are 5 car parks

Number 5 is usually the most easiest to park in and you can either walk to the marketplace or jump on a boat which will take you across

There is a new bowling alley/bar/restaurants called Splitsville which is good and plenty of places to eat, drink and shop

A buzzy atmosphere weekend evenings
