First time to Orlando with a young family

I am travelling to Orlando in Mid-may for 2 weeks with my wife , 2 kids who are ( 3 years old and a 9 month old baby )

I appreciate they are too young to remember any of it . Any tips appreciated in regards to parks , rides etc ?

I would pace yourself and be flexible as your kids will get tired and a nap either back at the hotel or in their buggy will make life a bit easier.

Plan ahead for rides that are suitable for your little one(s). If you want to do adult rides then you can do kid swaps.

You will be up early on arrival due to time difference so make te best of it and be there at park opening or before if you have a car to park.

Thanks Lassie

We are staying at I-drive , although its quite central but I am still thinking of renting a car to give us that extra freedom ? Many of our friends have recommended we take car seats etc ? what do you think ?

If you rent a car the kids MUST be in car seats ... it is the law. So you might as well bring your own instead of renting or buying them here. I think they are still checked free by the airlines and do not count as a piece in your luggage allocation.

If you search the forum you will find information on child seats. I think you will need to have one for the baby but maybe get off with a booster for the older child but I am sure someone with younger kids will help if you can't find answers via a search.

if they have car seats in uk it probably is sensible just to take them. You know they will fit and be used to them. You will just have to transport them to the desk from your car then from the luggage collection to the hire car. Make sure you pick a luggage trolley to make life slightly easier.

I think renting a car makes sense for you.

Yes, her passport will be fine for Esta.

They might like a water park one day. Typhoon lagoon has a good kiddy area.

A little girl may like Magic Kingdom. The Castle is what everyone thinks of when you say Disney. Disney Hollywood studios is another good option for young ones. I would give Epcot a miss. Animal Kingdom is good if you have time and budget for another day at Disney.

The Dr Suess area at Universal is good for little ones.

Hanging out at the hotel may be fun too when they are little.
