Transport to Kennedy Space Centre

Hello fellow travellers

I have booked a day pass to Kennedy Space Centre next week when I visit from the UK and am not quite sure how I can get there without a car from Orlando. Any tips?

Thanks

Kate

I guess it would depend where you are staying in the area. Sure 1 of the experts will be along to help you. I stayed in davenport and it was over 70 miles away. I think I had seen on some sites that you could get ticket and bus tickets at the same so perhaps you can get a bus ticket for pick up at a certain location.

There is no public transportation to KSC from the Orlando area. As mentioned, it is about 50 miles from Orlando airport or 62 miles from WDW to the KSC Visitors' Complex.

Most visitors do have a car, sometimes just for the day. Rentals can be had for $50-60/day or less, and you get the flexibility to go on your own schedule, and can make a side trip to the Atlantic Ocean beaches (Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach) if you'd like. There's usually time to include an extra activity or two, such as stopping by the big cruise ship port, airboat ride into the swamps to see alligators, shopping at the flagship store of the Ron Jon Surf Shop chain, eating at a beachside restaurant, kayaking, or even a 5-hour trip onto the ocean on the Victory Casino Cruise ( www.victorycasinocruises.com ).

If you don't wish to drive yourself, there are also excursions that provide transport and admission to KSC from a variety of pickup points around Orlando. Some also include an extra activity, such as one of those mentioned above.

However, if you already have booked your admission into KSC, you really don't need the admission part of the excursion, just the coach ride. Check out www.grayline.com/orlando/view_all to see some of the options mentioned above, including the transportation option by itself, which is $59 per person.

Enjoy your trip -- KSC is an interesting place to spend the better part of the day!

So you already have your ticket to KSC and you just need transportation, correct?
