Just packing - checklist suggestions???

Hi everyone! After skulking around this forum for months it's finally our turn to go! We're just getting packed and making a last minute checklist. Any suggestions of what to add?

Small fold away umbrella when it rains its often still to warm to wear a jacket so a umbrella works much better , make sure it's a small one so it will fit in your bag and then into lockers

We always take some 100ml or smaller lotions and potions in our hand luggage plus a change of underwear. Came in very handy when we were stuck at Miami airport one year for 23 hours!!

Pack half your clothes in each case so if one gets lost you will still have plenty to wear until the bag is found!

Make sure you have at least one jacket/cardi with you as you may need it in restaurants as they can be very cold due to the air-con.

Travel insurance.

Have a great holiday.

Travel scales, so you can check your luggage isn't overweight with all that shopping coming home. ;-)

Pop up laundry bin, travel adaptors, a pen in your hand luggage to fill out immigration/custom forms on the plane.

Insurance docs and call you credit card company and bank to tell them your going away. Take the phone number down for your cards as well, just in case they are lost or stollen, god forbid. Money, and tickets and passport. Change for tolls on arrival.

Sunscreen. Hand sanitizer. If you can find a water bottle carrier that slings around your neck (similar to a camera case), those are nice in the summer, especially for any travelers in your group not using a purse or backpack. I second obtaining quarters in the U.S. for tolls and laundry. The toll roads are not as heavily traveled and are a good option for avoiding traffic. Rain poncho (in the U.S. they sell them at Walmart for around a dollar and they come in a very compact little pouch). Travel pouches of laundry detergent placed in zippered sandwich bags to prevent leaking. Mesh bag for dirty clothes. Flip flops if you intend to go to a waterpark or visit a beach. You would also obviously need a beach towel, but I would purchase that here as it would take up a lot of room in your luggage. Sweat-whisking socks. Sunglasses. Medication for fever and stomach upset.
