Flying with British airways for first time

Hi all

I'm sure there are many of you that have flew with British airways before and I was just wondering how u found the flight? I'm flying from Dublin next Monday night then take off for orlando around 11 the next morning. I've checked out the inflight entertainment so I know it's good but what's everything else like? Service on board? Do you get a blanket for the flight? Is the food nice? Just the usual run down! Thanks for any replies!!

Blanket, yes. headphones, yes. Food is OK (abt the same as everyone else- but if I fly from Heathrow I get a take out meal from GR's Plane Food).

Service is usually good (senior staff). IFE good, I usually watch 3 movies. only 3 screens on the island where I live, so never get to see most of the films I want to.

My only extra piece of advice as I have flown BA from Dublin many times is to give yourself plenty of time at DUB as the check in/security procedure takes absolutely ages.

Enjoy your holidays. :)

Airline food is airline food! We always take our own.

Thanks guys!! Yes Dublin can def take a long time by time you get through everything! Plan being up early enough! Does the fact that I stop over in London mean I won't get cheaper duty free or will I still make good savings as will still be flying go the U.S? Also do I clear immigration in Dublin or because it's a stop over flight will I have to wait until I reach Florida? Thanks!!

I take it you are flying into LHR or LGW and that is your stopover?

We have always had to clear immigration in Florida.

Just be careful if you buy duty free alcohol in Dublin. You may be better waiting until Gatwick for that, or alternatively you need to make sure it is security sealed.
