Just wondering if it worth visiting both mall's (Florida Mall & Mall of Millenia), or are they practically both the same or is one better than the other? Any information will help with planning our trip. Thanks

They are mostly different, although there is one overlap in department stores; Macy's is at both malls, and the branch at Florida Mall is larger. Nordstrom, known for its shoes and apparel, is at Florida Mall only, as is Dillard's, Saks, JC Penny, and Sears. Bloomingdale's is at Mall at Millenia only, and has some interesting housewares in addition to fashion. Upscale Neiman-Marcus is at Mall at Millenia only, and focuses on clothing, but has a very small housewares area. Upscale retailers like Gucci, Cartier, Tiffany, and Jimmy Choo are at Mall at Millenia, but Florida Mall has more shops overall.

Mall at Millenia is convenient if you are at the Premium Outlets at the north end of I-Drive -- it's less than a mile north via Millenia Blvd. or I-4. If you shop during a sale -- and some stores like Macy's have almost continuous sales -- you can get some good deals on current merchandise at the malls. International visitors can register for additional discounts at customer service desks at each mall -- see mall websites for details and directories of shops. The Orlando Sentinel newspaper sometimes has ads for sales, occasionally with coupons for more savings.

Florida Mall is on Sand Lake Road midway between I-Drive and the airport. There is bus service to both malls.

If you are at one of the malls, there are also some good outlying stores nearby -- not in the malls proper. Best Buy is the category leader in electronics and usually has better prices than in other countries. HH Gregg is another electronics retailer. Bed, Bath & Beyond has a huge stock of housewares and home gadgets. The Container Store near the Mall at Millenia has all types of storage solutions, travel gadgets, etc. The Bass Pro Shop Outdoor World has everything for outdoors, all the way up to boats.
