Villa Communities

Hi there,

Can anybody recommend any nice gated villa communities? We are after renting a 5 bed villa and have previously stayed at Emerald Island which was very nice but quite expensive. We are on a tighter budget this time so looking for a community which is gated, has supermarket and restaurants within a few mins drive.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Why gated? Plenty of lovely villas in nice, safe & good locations that are not gated, personally if I was on a tighter budget I wouldn't pay a premium if there was one for a gated community

As i say to everyone is your home you live in on a gated estate !

Gated is not safer, not even gated with a guard on duty, dont pay a premium

Shop around remember to get your home direct from an owner not a mangement company or site. Tap into google "villa to rent in orlando" and then work at it untill you succeed

Further out but still only 25 mins from wdw. Southern Dunes. Gated, gold course, Winn Dixie and Walmart at the gate. Great two weeks and is half price as emerald island. I know as going to emerald island next time.

naughtysmurf, I agree with you. I have stayed in 4 different villas without it being gated.

Southern Dunes is a lovely villa community and if you are fixed on staying somewhere gated it is a cheaper option purely because its a 30 min drive to the parks

We have stayed there 4 times and then moved onto to the championsgate area

We didn't feel any "safer" on gated it really doesn't make a jot of difference

There are several gated communities. My favorites are Windsor Palms, Windsor Hills and Paradise Palms.
