Disney Addictions!

Hi all -

It's been a whole two months since our last visit, and I still can't stop thinking about Orlando or visiting these posts!

I'm already planning for next May (which would be our 4th May in a row).

That being said.... and borrowing from the All-Ears website, here's a question....

If you could be anywhere in any Disney property, where would you be, what would you be doing?

I have to keep feeding this addiction! LOL

When you stop to think about it, deciding one particular spot or function is really difficult for some of us; there's so many favorites of mine.

Speaking only for myself, if I had to pick just one thing, I think I'd have to say that watching the "O, Canada" 360-degree film at the Canadian pavilion at Epcot is my very favorite thing of current attractions. Wishes, Fantasmic, and Illuminations are a close second.

Now, for the by-gone things, I'd have to say there's a tie between the old 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea ride at M.K. and the original Main St. Electric Light Parade at M.K.

Kat-clubs..

Watching the O Canada film??? I am impressed and embarrased at the same time, I am Canadian and has I had read it is what the rest of the world think Canada is all about. It was filmed in 1983, and very behind the times. Although I did find out that it is being redone, just in time for the Olympics.

Being Canadians, I think we drove the people next to us crazy talking about each location in the movie, expecially the end part of the video which showed the bridge we used to get into the states.

As for the original post, I know exactly how you feel. I wished I had a few more days there, we just got back on Monday.

If money was no object, I wish I could stay in a suite in the Grand Floridian with a VIP escort around the parks.

My favourite place to be right now would be in the arena at MGM waiting for Fantasmic to start eating a warm pretzel and waving my light stick.

Some traditions die hard...........

Yes, I know that "O! Canada" is very old and I think it was actually filmed in 1982 or 1981 to be ready for the opening of Epcot itself in 10/1982. We often joke about the little boy near the end and how he probably has a little boy of his own by now. I'm actually disappointed in a way to hear a new film is being made, as I love this one so much, even if it is outdated.

You'd have to understand how much I simply love Canada and all it has to offer in beauty and substance. As the song says, "You're a lifetime journey for the traveler; You're a lifeline of wonder on this planet earth."

I guess you can compare it to the love the U.K. folks have for Orlando and such. We don't get to Canada often, so we simply love to visit it vicariously through the film.

I would have to say my favorite place is sitting in front of the France pavillion, eating my French pastry.

could I be presumptious and extend that favourite spot to Universal? My absolute favourite is watching the Blues Brothers sipping on an ice cold Bud - I have to wear my sunglasses (i) because of the sun (obviously) and (2) it always makes me emotional - crazy or what?

On the subject of Universal,

...Sitting outside the Beverly Hills Boulangerie, with a delicious Cheesecake Factory pastry and a coffee, whilst people watching.

At Disney,we always enjoy sitting on the rocking chairs by the lake at Celebration.

(Well...you have to have a rest some time!).

If I could be anywhere at Disney right now, I would be at the front desk checking into a Disney resort. There's just something magical about that moment they hand you your room keys and you feel like you're really there.

If it has to be a spot in one of the parks, I'd have to say I'd be sitting by the lake at Epcot watching Illuminations.

Yesterday, hubby and I dropped family at the airport and drove over to Disney Marketplace. Behind Raglan Road Restaurant there is a fish and chips place with a little pub and all you can drink soda. We chilled for a few hours sitting in the shade and had fun people watching. We make up stories about the people passing. Where there from, who they are, etc. We do this every couple of weeks. It's a nice quiet place to just sit, talk, and people watch.

Then..... we always head over to Disney Quest for arcade style competition. Disney Quest is our favorite place to go out in all of Disney.
