Double buggy (stroller)

We are soon off to orlando with our three children, they are only 14 months apart and will be 5,4 and 4. I'm thinking all three of them may need access to a buggy but I'm wondering if a double buggy could be bought relatively cheaply in Walmart as well as a single. We've long since used a buggy in the uk and don't want the hassle of taking a single and double over but if we can't easily buy a double then this is what we would do. Any advice great fully received - many thanks.

You can either rent or buy. To buy, you can browse the doubles available at WalMart at walmart.com/browse/… . However, many are available only by special order -- you pay for them via the Internet and then pick them up at your selected store, usually with 5-7 days lead time.

Other stores will have similar arrangements, and some will stock double strollers. See www.target.com and www.sears.com . Toys-R-Us has stores in the area that will likely have some double strollers in stock.

Although we sometimes take a single stroller to the parks, we haven't taken a double. However, There are both front-and-back and side-by-side models, so think about which will be more practical for you. We learned that the lightweight models aren't as comfortable or functional as the sturdier ones.

Strollers can also be rented. For example, Disney has double (side-by-side) strollers available, but you might want to calculate whether it's better to buy based on cost and being able to take the purchased stroller everywhere with you. The rental locations are near the front gate of each park, but you cannot take the rented strollers from or between the parks; you use your receipt to obtain a new stroller when you switch parks. I believe that the cost for a double stroller was around $30 a single day -- that was in early 2012.

Also see www.orlandostrollerrentals.com . They will rent for the duration of your trip and will deliver to your hotel for you. This may be the most cost-effective solution for many, unless staying for a long holiday.
