Does Disney offer discounts at Art of Animation

Hi, we are staying at AOM in March next year in a standard room and just wondering if Disney usually offer any kind of discounts for these rooms or dining plans. Thanks

No, they are not, at least not yet. The standard "Little Mermaid" rooms have not been allowed any discounts or any offers like "free dining" or other types since it opened last year.

The suites are included in some offers, but not the standard rooms. You'd probably do better pricewise to try Pop Century instead, but you won't be able to pool-hop to AoA if you do.

Is there a particular reason you want to stay at AoA other than the newness of it?

Disney does not on the Little Mermaid rooms but if you book it thru another travel site you can get a discount. Some dates are on cheaptickets.com and their current promo code bonuscheap gets you 20% off.

We are in the US for 6 weeks so I choose a budget hotel/ room to keep within budget and AOA had good reviews. We don't plan to spend to much time at the hotel but would like it to be nice and reasonable. Is Pop as nice as AOM or should we just stay where we are? Even without a discount the room price is not to bad but of course a bonus or discount would be nice.

Be prepared to walk a lot when you stay in the Little Mermaid rooms

I've stayed at Pop Century numerous times and while it's not a new as Art of Animation, it's rooms are basically the same as the standard rooms at AoA would be. I think the Pop Century rooms are also just slightly cheaper, like by $5 per day or so.

The pool is the only advantage by now at AoA, because it's main pool is somewhat nicer than Pop's, but I wouldn't give up a discount just for that alone. I think the food court may have a few different offerings too, but you can always visit the food court at AoA if you are staying at Pop with just a quick walk across the lake and property.

As Carmela said above, the Little Mermaid rooms at AoA are somewhat further distance to the main building than other buildings at AoA. They were originally designated to be the Legendary years buildings for Pop Century, but they were never completed 10 years ago and built to be part of Pop. That's why they are such a long distance walk to the main building of AoA.
