recommendation for quick meals in MK and Animal Kingdom?

Hello,

With 3 small children, we don't want to deal with any sit-down restaurants during our visit to the park.

We would want to hear some recommendation on places we can get quick meals (some healthy options) at MK, Animal Kingdom and many downtown disney.

We are staying at Poly and we appreciate if you can share some tips on saving on foods. We will not have a car so only disney transportation accessible ways.

Thanks!

Favourites are flametree barbeque at animal kingdom, Wolfgang puck express at downtown disney and an early lunch at be our guest at magic kingdom. All are counter service so quick with great food. We had no breakfast and went to be our guest for opening, with no queue in July.

Columbia harbor house in MK, Pizzafari in AK, Sunshine Seasons in Epcot, nothing in HS, usually just grab a pretzel with cheese for dipping. We usually don't have time to get to Downtown Disney, especially at lunch time (Trex is a sit down restaurant). We save money and time in the morning by bringing our breakfast stuff from home (small items like individually wrapped muffins, breakfast bars, etc.).

You have a wonderful quick service restaurant, at the Polynesian: Captain Cook's. Be sure to get the "tonga toast". Fabulous!

With small children and staying at the Poly, I wouldn't bother with Downtown Disney. Way too far away, and you have great shops and dining, right outside your door at the monorail resorts. Or just pop back over to Magic Kingdom.

I concur with the recommendations in post 3, and I also think Restaurantosaurus in AK is good too. If you go to DHS, I went to the ABC Commissary for the first time last year, and was pleasantly surprised with the food and surroundings, although service was slow.

You already have some good recommendations. I would add that our favorite Quick Service at Hollywood Studios is Fairfax Fare and the surrounding food court, which is near Tower of Terror. While Wolfgang Puck Express is our favorite Quick Service at DTD, Earl of Sandwich and Cookes of Dublin are also very good. Earl of Sandwich has the added benefit of being one of the least expensive Quick Service meals in Disney World.

3 small children? You have to go to Cosmic Ray's (Tomorrowland) in the Magic Kingdom. Dinner and a show with Sonny Eclipse!

It should be noted with respect to post 7 that Sonny Eclipse has an entertaining show, but it can only be heard from part of the seating area in Cosmic Ray's. Also, CR's tends to get very crowded (much more so than the Columbia Harbour House in MK), so you have no guarantee of getting a table to eat anywhere near Sonny Eclipse.

Here is a good article about the Columbia Harbour House from one of its fans:
