so £200 for a family of 4 to prebook seats to ensure we all sit together for both out and inbound flights!!!!! Disgraceful with the price already being paid for the flights!! This year will most definitely be the last time I fly with Virgin Atlantic!! It's an absolute liberty!! NOT HAPPY!!

Not at the price Virgin intend to charge!!! I don't think anyway!! Didn't mind paying more for the flights with Virgin previously because of the 'perks' you got with them!! Lesson learned!!

Hi Kelly.

What "perks" would that be??;-);-)

Virgin has (IMHO) dropped its standards to what they "used" to be, a long time ago now.

In the North West were limited for choice with scheduled airlines & they know it.

Thats one of the reasons I now fly indirect with a US carrier & (so far) they are not only cheaper by over £1500 for our flight times, but I pre booked my seats when I made my booking. Which was at the 335 (ish) day mark.

I also get a better baggage allowance:-):-)

I think Virgin are starting to believe there own TV adverts.....lol....

Don't forget you can select your seats free of charge at online check in. With these prohibitive charges and the airline keeping a number of seats free for allocation at online check in I believe there will be many to choose from at this time.

If these charges make people realise that Virgin are not the be all and end all then that is all good as far as I am concerned.
