Orlando to miami

Next in March we are planning to stay a few days in Orlando to visit the themeparks and then we have 7 days to get to Miami.

Does anyone have a beautiful route we can take?

We also would like to visit the Everglades and Key West, but how many days should you spend there?

Does anyone have tips about how we can devide our 7 days?

First i thought i would wait till we are there, but with the spring break coming, it might be best to book the motels now?

All the advice is welcome.

You have a choice of the non scenic Turnpike which will only take four hours, A1A which runs continuously along the coast from Cape Canaveral to Ft Pierce (most of the water views will be blocked by buildings) and changing over to another highway before massive amounts of stop lights, Highway 27 which isn't all that scenic, or you could drive the interstate along the west coast and stop at some of the islands on that coast.

Key West is another 3 hours or more past Miami, and the drive down there once on the Overseas Highway is very nice. Two or three days should be fine. You may want to spend a day or two in the upper Keys for a different feel. There is lots of water in the Keys, but not many good beaches. You can access the Everglades from both the east and the west.

Unfortunately, I am not a psychic and can't tell you which specific towns you will like without knowing your interests. You may want to look at a map of the state, check some individual city forums, give a list of your likes and dislikes, and give more specifics. Then, someone may be able to give you more help.
