Isolated Thunder Strms & Showers Nt Wk - apr 28-May 3

Well, it looks like the forecasts for next are not too promising for our trip to WDW. Not sure how

Isolated Storms vs showers will effect our plans. Do the "isolated showers" usually arrive at any particular hours (e.g. late a.m. vs early p.m etc). and not sure which is worse (i.e. Isolated storms vs showers).

Any special clothing or ride/show scheduling recommendations for this type of forecast ?

Thanks ( a bit disappointed)

The forecast will say that for just about everyday from now til November, afternoon showers and isolated storms are quite common. Nothing awful enough to ruin your holiday. Most rides are inside. Carry On and have Fun

Yep, typical spring/summer/early autumn forecast for Orlando, and Florida in general, says the same thing for most days. Don't worry about it much, but just go have fun.

One thing you can control is time of day you do water activities. Best to plan for swimming or water parks or other water fun during the morning hours as the scattered afternoon thunderstorms begin to appear usually around mid afternoon.

A forecast chance...chance...of rain is 0 reason to alter your theme park plans.

Sometimes the storms are isolated (distinct cell or cells moving through only part of the area) and other times more scattered showers with wider coverage but still frequently very hit or miss. That's why it is just a chance. The forecast is for a big viewing area and the rain is rarely long-lasting.
