Can Parents swap on rides with small kids?

If a family of four, two parents, and two kids, one over 40" and one under, if one parent takes the child over 40" on Soarin, can the other parent swap seats with the 1st parent when the ride with the 1st parent returns? Thanks.

Yes - at the entrance of the ride you will obtain a rider switch pass. Children who are not tall enough for an attraction are not allowed to enter the queue, so Parent 1 and child will wait in the regular line while Parent 2 and child do something else. Once Parent 1 returns, Parent 2 will take the pass and proceed to the ride in the FastPass line. The tall child will be allowed to ride again with Parent 2.

For attractions without a height restriction, the whole family will wait together and the swap will be done at the exit.
