Fast Pass changing your mind

Just say you've booked your fast passes for 14 days or whatever. Mon HS, Tues MK, Wed Epcot etc. What happens if you have a change of plan, maybe the weather or someone not feeling to good. Would you just not turn up or do you have to cancel. We have access to a computer in the hotel. We wouldn't be using aps on phones or anything.

You can cancel or just not turn up. I changed our fast passes constantly while walking around the parks as there is free wifi everywhere... Great for if you get kn a ride and then want to change your fastpass

You must cancel so that someone else can be allocated your slots that's how it works

Thanks for that. Wasn't sure if it mattered and people from the stand by queue would just get that slot. But no, if we can't make it will cancel and re-book.

You can cancel your time and book another time (which we did quite a few times) but if you don't want to use Fast Pass+ that day at all, just don't show up. The time you reserved expires if you don't use it so it has nothing to do with what other people are allocated

Well we were with a CM with a tablet at Epcot trying to book FPs it took ages - he told spaces become free every few minutes as people cancel theirs and the time slots go back in the system freeing up more times - so was he telling us lies???

No he wasn't. ;-);-)

To me it's like the ADR's. Common courtesy to cancel if you change your minds.

Very selfish attitude to just not bother:-(

Thanks Mike - why would he say that if it wasn't the case

FPs can be thin on the ground for popular rides it's just good manners to cancel if you know you aren't going to use yours :-)

It's common courtesy but it isn't necessary. Your reservations are automatically cancelled if your window passes and you don't show up. The cast member wasn't necessarily lying to you;there are many employees not up to speed with the system and they have a tendency to tell you whatever springs to mind. When we had problems booking the fast passes day of,we just asked for a manager when the employee at the kiosk couldn't help. Just as your dining ADRs are automatically cancelled if you don't show up,so are your fast pass reservations(and we have confirmed this with two Disney executives)

I'm talking about people at say 9am deciding not to use their 4 FPs for 12pm

Are you saying these would not go back in the system if cancelled?

Good for you;-)

So I can't book an ADR because you have. Then you don't turn up because you've changed your mind & couldn't be bothered to cancel:-(:-( shockingly selfish really & now way on earth did "not one but two" Disney executive's say that was ok to do.

It's one of the reasons they will now charge for no shows with ADR's.

Anyway, your two "executives" trump susie's "cast member".......lol......
