We are stoping there for 7 hours before the final flight to MCO, we have 5 kids, 1.2.6.10 and 16, is is a small airport with only sitting about or is there room to move about and anything to kill time. My kids will have there electronics with them I'm sure but just looking abit of info. :)

Charlotte is a major hub for us air. It is a pretty busy air port. There is a food court and rocking chairs to pass the time away. Several concourses to walk through with some shops and restaurants. It will be the same as any 7 hour wait.

You can walk around outside if you want to get fresh air. Just make sure you take your boarding pass and passports to get back through security. There is nothing in walking distance of the airport.

Ditto Sunngod

Been through Charlotte quite of few times. I own Condo there. Airport is fairly small compared to any other major city like Atlanta or Chicago. It's easy to find your way around but not anything within walking distance. You will be on one level unless you exit area.

Why don't you ask this on the Charlotte forum since it concerns Charlotte?
