Relaxing lunch on our last day

Hi, I'm planning a trip to Disney in early November. Our flight home leaves at 4. I was thinking of booking lunch for 6 adults at the Animal Kingdom Lodge in hopes of seeing some animals while we are there. Is this a good idea? What restaurants do you recommend for lunch?

Sanaa would be a wonderful choice for lunch. Unique menu and fabulous view of the animals, while you are dining.

Enjoy!

If you're staying on site and using magic express, they pick you up 3 hours ahead of your flight. If not you'll still have to get to the airport a couple of hours ahead, so keep that in mind when picking a time for lunch :)

If you want to dine at Boma at Jambo House, I don't believe they do lunch. Only breakfast and dinner. And you cannot see animals from the restaurant. Jiko only does dinner and, again, no animals can be seen from the restaurant. But, Sanaa, at Kidani Village (where there are just DVC villas, does have a view of the savanna and they do offer lunch.

Or you could just dine at The Mara, the counter service dining in Jambo House and then go out on the savanna from the main lobby or even over to Kidani Village and check out their savanna.

Sanaa is great, but do keep in mind the travel time to the airport. Sanaa opens at 11:30AM and if you have to leave no later than 1PM, I am not sure if that fits in your definition of "relaxing".

Where are you staying?

We are staying off site and driving to the airport.

Will we have trouble parking to use the restaurant?

Parking is not a problem. Guests with dining reservations are permitted to park at all Disney resorts for a maximum of 3 hours, except during peak/holiday times. Early November will not be an issue.

Enjoy!

Not at all. Book an 11:30AM table and you should be good.
