First Trip

Hi All, we are going on our first ever holiday to Florida for 2 weeks in middle of November. I was just wondering what the weather would be like, the crowds at disney and universal as we have ultimate tickets for both and any suggestions for other things to visit and do, we have a 3 and a 9 year old. Thanks

We also going 16th November and from the crowd calenders ive seen it looks ok in the middle but towards the end (thanks giving i think) it gets busy. Weather from previous reports is mid 20s and good humidity so its comfy weather but may need a jumper early morning and late evening. Hope this helps.

Weather will generally be pleasantly warm during the day but can dip and get chilly at night. It is a dry time of year.

Crowds will be very low.

Have a day trip to St Augustine

Go on an airboat ride (Google Captain Dave - he is brilliant)

Visit Fort de Soto Beach (stunning)

Do Cirque du Soleil (you will all be gobsmacked)

ummm, the 3 year old might not 'get' all of the above but hope they give you food for thought...

Hi...definitely take a trip to seaworld, your kids will love it..not sure about crowds in November, only ever been in June time & that's busy...

One piece of advice is to plan everything, know what your doing each day....saves so much time while your there.. so much to do in such a short time...it'll be great ☺

Hi we too are going in Nov first two weeks Weather should be ok chilly first thing in a morning and at night If you've got you've your credit style disney tickets make sure you set up your disney app and book your Three fast passes before hand 30 days before for non disney guests 60 days before for on site guests

If you'd not staying at disney hotel pick each park when there are no early morning disney hours ( this means that on site guests visit the park done hour before opening )

Weather can be all over the place. We went in Nov 2008 just when North America got the coldest weather since 1906 or something. It was beautifully sunny every day but you needed jeans and a long sleeved top during the day, and a light jacket at night. The locals had big bubble jackets and gloves on (not kidding). IIRC daily temp was low 60's to low 70's.

Then we went again in Oct 2012 when hurricane Sandy wrecked New York. While Sandy was passing by out at sea the weather turned cold for a few days, like high 60's. The rest of that holiday was pleasant, high 70's degrees.

I have been to November twice both mid November and crowd levels are low, infact a perfect time to go and also the weather is nice with minimal rainfall and bearable temperatures like high 70s/low 80s.

St Augustine is a lovely place as mchaggis has suggested, steeped in history with lots of things to see and do.

How about Anna Maria Island, this may take more than a day but it is absolutely stunning.

Thanks everyone, sounds like we will hopefully have good weather. Nice to know about other things to do besides disney and universal.
