CheapTickets.com scam

Hi,

Just purchased tickets for my family on cheaptickets .com for 6 days to Disney World, after the accepted my credit card a message said I would not receive our confirmation for 5 business days. There was no mention of this prior and the 5 business days will be 2 days after arrival. Called a few times including a supervisor and also to Disney, all I got was that was policy and could not get conformation numbers sooner or can cancel. Please beware and does someone have a suggestion. Please help desperate.

I don't know what the rules are regarding credit card purchases in Israel, but I would talk to your credit card company and see what your options are to dispute the charges. A quick read of the web site doesn't show any mention of it taking 5 days to get your voucher. Perhaps that is enough for your CC company to void the transaction?

Thanks already tried that, they said it could take up to 8 weeks. I am not talking about Israel but Disney World in Orlando.

I believe Sudlow was mentioning Israel as that is what is listed as your location. In the US, we would be able to get our money back by disputing the charge with our credit card company. Perhaps you have similar provisions with Israeli credit card companies.

I'm afraid at this point, you will need to purchase tickets again if you don't receive the vouchers in time. Do so direct with Disney and then fight the charges when you get back.

Disney is a different beast and you will usually get the best prices on everything by booking direct with Disney. Don't be lured in by promises of cheaper prices unless it is a reputable company.
