Manchester airport security check

Does anyone know how long it takes to go through security at Terminal 2 in Manchester airport since security was tightened recently? There are always queues there so I assume that they are even longer now.

Why don't you ask this on the Manchester Travel Forum?

Cardi, don't know the answer to this one, but you can pay £3.50 to do express security, we did that recently and were through in a few minutes

We did the Fast Track at Manchester three weeks ago. It must have saved us all of 2 minutes, as there were no real queues at the standard line. This was about 11am on a Friday.

Thanks DaveBhoy72,

I've decided to pay for the Fast Track - for peace of mind as much as anything else.
