half a day in orlando area - recommendations?

Hi,

I'm planning to visit alone on business and have about a half day off (morning till afternoon) in the orlando/palm beach area.

at first i thought about going to one of the parks (universal) but i think it's not enough time as i wouldn't be there before 9-10 am...

any recommendations on something special/intresting to do for a lone adult in that area for half a day? preferably nothing too expensive...

Thanks!

How about Gatorland? That would be perfect for ½ day, and I'm pretty sure they don't have gators in Israel. 😃

hi, actually we have a very similar site - http://www.hamat-gader.com/eng/about-us/

:)

this looks nice but i was looking for something a bit more "special" and less family oriented (if there are such things in orlando...)

Orlando/Palm Beach? Palm Beach County and Orlando are distant from each other, about a 3 hour drive.

If you're in Orlando, it might be worth visiting something reasonably close to your afternoon business.

I agree, palm beach is no where near.

A waterpark could be fun, but i'd probably visit DTD for lunch and shopping etc.

O.K. How about an airboat ride?

Hmmm. Depending on when you visit, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park might have surfing lessons early in the morning, before regular opening time. Then, you might stay a bit longer for the water rides.

Palm Bay is somewhat more than an hour (travel times provided by Google, Bing and Mapquest tend to be accurate). That would allow morning activity in Orlando.

yep, that's the time i saw on traveling - about an hour. that means being on oralndo around 9-10am.

waterpark sounds nice but the surf lessons are real expensive and the disney lagoon park seems more kids oriented...

any suggestions more inline with relaxing and maybe not so expensive adult fun...?

Thanks!
