Anywhere to take scenic photos of water/sand?

Would like to take photos that show the water and sand, like from above. Is there anywhere where that is possible if you are not in a hi-rise condo room. An elevated area or bridge or something?

St. Andrews state park has a couple of places... one where you take the boardwalk over from the parking lot, and two on the end where the people surf by the jetty.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for but you might try standing on one of the piers and looking down. You can shoot toward the water or go long and get the sand, water and people. Just depends on what you're looking for. If you're wanting seaoats and sand dunes w/o alot of people, you're going have to go all the way to the end of Thomas Dr and into St Andrews Park or all the way on the West End. Long before PC become the Condo Concrete Capital it is, there were some really beautiful areas you could go and take awesome pix. I have alot taken from mid-to late 1980s in Grayton Beach, Seaside (before it was built up) and other areas. My DH and I didn't have any kids then so we would pack a cooler, some beach towels and head to Hwy 30. We found a little area where we could park our car and would walk over the sand dunes to the prettiest stretch of beach you'll find anywhere. No people, no low flying airplanes just peace and quiet!! Was wonderful. Now unfortunately, it's built up w/beach houses and cottages for the Seaside community. :>(
