Charter Fishing

Does anyone have any recommendations for deep sea fishing? We are going the second week of October and have never been to pcb. Thanks!

I would recommend Jubilee Deep Sea Fishing (http://www.jubileefishing.com/). My dad and husband went last October and had a GREAT time!! Make sure you check with them in advance regarding any fishing restrictions. They went during the week and they had to throw back all of the red snappers they caught. I'm not sure, but there might be restrictions in place again. They are reasonably priced too. Have fun!!

Dont forget the dramamine if you are not 100% sure you do not get sea sick on small boats (cruise ships dont count). Nothing worse than spending hundreds of dollars to puke in an ocean for 4 hours.

Panama City has great fishing options- if you weant to book a private charter figure on @ $125/hr for the boat- 4 hour minimum (a 4 hour charter will fish for King Mackeral) you can also book 8-1-12 hr or longer trips. I have used HOOK 'EM UP www.pcbeachfishingcharters.com and MAGGI www.mcgowancharters.com for some great family fish trips. Other options are party boats like Jubilee/Treasure Island docked at Treasure Ship Marina or Hall Queen Fleet/Capt Andersons docked at Capt Anderson Marina- these will run @$50-$90 per person depending on length of the trip (Party boat trips run from 5 hrs to 12 hrs) A 3rd option is the smaller inshore/bay fishing boats- these can run @ $100/hr and take 3-4 people max- targeting Specled Trout/Redfish/Flounder.Red Snapper season is closed, but you can catch/keep just about everything else in Oct. Good Luck!

Just returned 9/10. We stayed 10 days in PCB. We chartered a a fishing trip with Capt. Mike located near the Boatyard restaurant. We had a good time and Capt. Mike and Darrin were very nice. We also rented a pontoon from Flippers located in St. Andrews park and fished in the bay. GREAT fishing in the bay. Caught red and black snapper and even small sharks plus many, many more species that we were not sure what they were. We were catch and release. Had so much fun we rented the pontoon for a second day. (Purchased 3-day fishing license at Wal-Mart for $17.00 and cheap $20.00 rod and reels. The pontoon rental was $150.00 for the day 8AM to 5PM).
