Coming to Florida rotunda west area in June. BE in the area for independent day. WHERE best place to go? How early can you book tickets to see Tampa ray game vs Yankee? What weather like in mid June/early July? I love America and can't wait to get there. Anyone eaten at two meatballs in kitchen in fort myers? any tips would be great. Thanking you in advances.

Thanks for that (even if most suggestions were an hour south lol)

I;ll put Venice on my list.

As for the basball game I can only think they rean't talking Spring training but regualr season (ie June/July).

We will probably go then so i;ll tell you when we buy tickets You can buy then from the box office or fromt he MLB site or re-sales from season ticket holders via Stubhub or Ace..

Spikeylisa79

Depending on the route you take from Tampa airport you will likely have the toll at the Skyway bridge (worth every penny IMO).

I haven't used taxis there, but there are some in the book.

yes, the only toll on the way is the $1 to cross the Sunshine skyway on RT 275, which is beautiful to drive over (but can be a lttle teeth clenching for some lol).

If you want to watch baseball closer to home, try the Charlotte Sports park. They rays do spring training there, and the Charlotte Stone crabs (the Rays minor league team) play from april thru the summer. Tickets aren't expensive and it can be fun, we usually catch a game when in town.

Otherwise we go to beaches and state parks, out to eat at Tiki bars etc, shop a bit, and play water volley ball in the pool.
