Hi Spinnaker,

Fish is a main staple of our diet here. Any restaurant you go to will have fish on the menu which is the best fish they have to offer, and they will know how to cook it. There aren't a lot of restaurants in WGV but there are a lot in Saint Augustine which isn't far from WGV. One place In Saint Augustine that is popular, is the A1A Alehouse which is not specifically a fish restaurant but has a lot of fish. And there are many others.

Enjoy your stay!

Schooner's is popular, not really my taste though, it's North of St. Augustine on Highway 1 across from winn dixie. WGV only has Caddyshack as far as I know.

Spinnaker, the only restaurants off the highway near where you are staying are chain restaurants. The Old City is about 16 miles away - you will hate yourself if you do not go there. There is no other city in Florida like it. Much better seafood in the Old City than Caddyshack and Schooner's.......

A1A Ale House is great and you sit outside overlooking the Bay and the waterfront - great seafood and lots of good people watching.

St. Augustine is romantic, very charming, and has an Old World Spanish vibe to it. Beautiful little city.

Our plan was to go into St Augustine .

Since I enjoy specialty beers,,seafood & a view of water ,A1A sounds likes great recommendation.

After looking at snow for the last 5 months, the sound and views of the water , is most inviting .
