Without a doubt St. Pete Beach is the best in the area. You will not regret staying there.
thanks is the Bon Aire motel good
St Pete definetly is best I haven't stayed at the Bon Aire yet but i will be in July, I checked it out while we were in St Pete last yearit looked like a nice place two pools and a tiki bar,i'm already booked for July can't wait to go. have a great trip
There isnt much difference from what I could tell. In fact you really cant tell the difference from one town to another along Gulf Blvd. They might as well be called all the same.
I wouldnt worry so much about the town name as you should be more concerned about your beach location and accomodations. Find a nice gulf/beach front condo/hotel with a balcony anywhere on the beach from Clearwater to St Pete and you will not be dissapointed.
Clearwater beach was too crowded in my opinion. Go south on Gulf for a less crowded vacation.
bludolphin, please tell us what St. Pete's is the best for? beaches? proximity? .....I can't decide between there and Clearwater Beach....looking for a place that is on the beach and walking distance to restaurants, etc. but also like to get away from the crowds once in awhile..thanks!!
Lovetravel it sounds like St Pete Beach is exactly what your looking for. Fabulous wide uncrowded beaches and loads of restaurants all within easy walking distance
I think the beaches and the location are the best. I agree that Treasure Island and ST. Pete beach all seem to be one big stretch of road. I have stayed at the Don Cesar and it was nice, nothing really within walking distance for food or entertainment. We recently stayed at the Biltmore in Treasure Island and I loved the location as well as the beaches there. There were restaurants you could walk to, I don't think you will be dissappointed with the area of Bon Aire.
What is the main purpose of your trip?
St. Pete is best because most all the hotels, condos etc in Treasure Island are sooo far from the water.
Pass-a grille is also nice but is not where the action is if that's what you want.
