Beach bars with music and dancing

We are staying in July at The Redington Ambassador. It is a wonderful but small resort with no nightlife or bar. Looking to find a beach bar nearby with dancing and maybe volleyball for the kids for some excitement? Walking distance or free beach rides (never drive after drinking). Thanks

Not much right near there. North Redington Beach is mainly residential. The Conch Republic Restaurant is a short walk away, and is a fun, casual place. Sorry, I don't know if they have music. The Doubletree Resort is also nearby - they might have something of interest to you.

The St Pete Beach Free Beach Ride services only go as far north as John's Pass, as far as I know. If you wish to visit one or more of the many beach bars on SPB, you can take the Beach Trolley then transfer to the Central Ave Trolley. Hop off in the area of the Howard Johnson's, and you can visit the Toasted Monkey (volleyball nets in the sand), Jimmy B's, PCI Bar, and several others with music and dancing within a very short walk.
