If you could splurge????

What have you splurged on in the area that was worth the outlay. Could be a dining experience, a souvenir purchase, a day trip, a spa treatment, or anything that you really enjoyed. Or.. did you splurge on something that was not worth it. We're looking to treat ourselves this trip as we usually are quite budget minded on vacation. Wouldn't necessarily have to be a joint splurge. In the area of $200ish total for the splurge.

Book a couple of mini-treatments at the Spa Oceana at the Don Cesar hotel. Stay the day and have lunch on the outside balcony overlooking the Gulf. It's just a nice indulgence and you could do it within the $200 budget or not much more (depending on what you have for lunch)

Now...the deal of a lifetime is at the Renaissance Vinoy hotel, downtown St. Petersburg. For a total price of $25 per person, you get a personalized history tour of the hotel (about 1 hr) and a wonderfly delightful 3 course lunch in their dining room. The $25 bucks includes tax, tip, and parking. (get your ticket stamped) (The menu price alone for the lunch prices out at $50 to $60 (each), and that is before tax and tip.)
