Where would YOU eat

My wife and I just booked our next trip to Sanibel for 5/31-6/7 and we're trying to decide which restaurants to hit up this time around. We're planning on one breakfast, two lunches, and four dinners out.

We're going to skip Grandma Dot's and Timbers only because we've frequented those two enough on past trips. So, where would you go?

My husband and I eat at the Island Cow at least 2-3 times every time we go to Sanibel. Cannot get enough of that place - we have never had anything we didn't like there!! The cornflakes-encrusted grouper taco is delicious, as are the conch fritters. Breakfast was delicious, too, and the portions are large.

For clam chowder, we always go to Lazy Flamingo (the first one you pass when you come on the island. I think this is Lazy Flamingo II). We try to plan the night we go there based on when crab cakes are the special. They are not a regular menu item, but we always try to catch them when we can.

Enjoy!!

Usually eat breakfast and dinner out. We won't get off the beach often for lunch!

Enjoy Over Easy for breakfast.. The Lighthouse Cafe is also good.

Lunched at Mucky Duck and Lazy Flamingo.

Dinner is our favorite meal. We have had some delicious meals at Mad Hatter, Sweet Melissa's, Old Captiva House, Green Flash, and Traders.

The Mucky Duck for drinks, appetizers and watching the sunset is a treat. Stopping by Bubble Room for Orange Crunch Cake to go.

We will be on the island two weeks in May and are looking forward to trying Traditions On The Beach.

Jerrys was a great suggestion for breakfast - especially if you are on any kind of budget. Our family of 4 had breakfast there several times for less than $20 which is almost unheard of on Sanibel!! Good "comfort" food... Not the greatest service but the food was excellent!
