rainy day sanibel/captiva ideas

First of all, thanks to the folks who responded to my questions last month. We are at the Island Inn and having a lovely time on Sanibel. We have kayaked and biked in Ding Darling and done a lot of beach walking. It is supposed to rain this afternoon and tomorrow am, and although this is short notice, anyone with suggestions for indoor sightseeing would be appreciated.

Also, we had a delicious dinner at the Timbers and would appreciate suggestions of places of a similar type - non-greasy and tasty seafood.

Thanks again!

Annie

p.s. no red tide - there is red algae which i can see is annoying to those who are used to the beaches being pristine. i am loving the fact that there is no manmade garbage (plastic, etc.) as we have found on South Florid east coast beaches.

Yeah. I go each time I'm down. I really enjoy it and learn something new with each visit. Nice little gift shop too.

Be glad you're there. Its freezing up north!

Just remember that Ding Darling closes Fridays to all traffic, car, bike and foot. I think you can still kayak.
