Hearing some news about jellyfish on beaches in florida. Does anyone know exactly where this is? Coming to Siesta Key Saturday, staying at Crescent Towers apt. Any news or anything happening in the area we should be aware of?! Thanks

Brevard County on the Atlantic...east coast of Florida.

Nothing negative going on here...weather is warm and so is the Gulf.

Is the water murky? Spent some time in Fort Myers and Naples last summer and hated the water. How is it in Siesta Key?

Just returned yesterday from Siesta Key :o(.......no jelly fish or other marine pests to worry about but we did see lots of dolphins and even a manatee swim by. Water was crystal clear to at least 6 or 7 feet (which is way out there). We were there 5/25 - 6/5 and the water was calm most days with a moderate chop 1 or 2 days.

the last time we visited the gulf in august the water was murky and millions of fish in the shore and a line of algae all down the beach. locals said it was from storms but in june the water has always been crystal clear for us
