water temps!

I am coming to siesta key for 3 days next week and the water temp seems to be in the mid 70s, a bit cool to swim but the whole reason I booked florida was to swim in the gulf/ocean. Where would I have to drive in your opinions to swim in more comfortable temperatures? I will try the water there for sure but not sure how comfortable I will be. Thanks

Well, you could drive to Mexico...however, that would be more than 3 days time.

Here is a chart of water temps:

As you can see it is in the 70s all the way to Key West...

Many people are swimming in the Gulf right now. Did you check Gulf temps before you booked the 3 days?

I think you will be fine here..

Too bad you can't book for end of May. Water temps are in the low-to-mid 80s.

Mid 70s is too cold for you? Please.

You could always just fill the bathtub in your room with hot water
