Surf Beach resort vs Land's End?

'After a lot of research have narrowed down our search to either Surf Beach resort gulf view or Land's end, gulf view condos....the price is the same. If anyone has stayed at these resorts your comments are greatl appreciated.

The most important part of this decision would be location. Land's End is a very nice complex, but it is not really walkable to much. Located at the extreme southern tip of Treasure Island, it's about 3/4 of a mile to Caddy's Bar and the local 7-Eleven. However, Surf Beach is right in the thick of things, walkable to quite a few restaurants and shops.

So if you desire solitude Land's End is your place, but if you want to be in the middle of the action, then Surf is your choice.

Surf is newer, but Land's End is very well kept. Accommodations wise, they are on par with each other. One other point: the beach in front of the Surf is extremely wide, like two to three city blocks to the water, whereas Land's End is much closer to the water.

P.S. Hi Tony!!!

Trhanks for the feedback....we've selected Land's End and once down there will check out some of our other "top pics" for consideration on another trip to this area of Florida.

Tony, we are well, and that sounds like a great plan! Let me know next time you come over the big pond!

Straller, have a wonderful time. You chose well. Be sure to get a Cuban sandwich at the Floridian, and go to Middlegrounds Grill for date night while you are here. Monday night, stroll down to Katiki for "blues night" where you will see some local color lol.

Katiki is a dive bar on Sunset Beach, across the street from Caddy's on West Gulf Blvd. You can hit both with one stop. Caddy's is strictly day time beach bar, but Katiki does have live music most nights - very funky, you cannot get a foo foo drink there, order a beer. I do like the bar scene at Middlegrounds Grill also, a bit upscale with great apps and you can even eat dinner in the bar. They have a live singer I believe, don't know which nights. Have fun!
