Marriott Ocean Pointe

We got an offer from Marriott Vacation Club to stay at this hotel for 5 days, any time over the next 12 months for $199. An upgrade for a 1 bedroom suite is an additional $149 totally $348 tax included. For less than $100 per night, I can spare 90 minutes to say no at a time share presentation. In reading the reviews, it seems like beach chair rentals, etc are pricey and there are limited restaurants. We would have a car. Any suggestions for activities, nearby restaurants, (a dollar store for beach chairs, LOL), etc. Thank you.

There is a Wings on Singer Island in the shopping plaza that sells inexpensive beach items. You may be able to find your beach needed items there at low cost. In the same plaze are several casual eateries(Johnny Longboats has great food). In addition, since you will have a car, I would recommend checking out downtown West Palm Beach, specifically Clematis Steet, as well as City Place.

You could also to get to these places via water taxi from the Sailfish Marina that is also located on Singer Island.

Have a fun trip.
