Place to stay between West Palm Beach and Ft Lauderdale

Hello! We are flying into Ft Lauderdale and will be traveling up to West Palm Beach upon arrival. We are looking for a hotel on the beach within walking distance to a restaurant that we can sit outside for a late night meal and some drinks. We would prefer a hotel in between or close to WPB. We are in our early 40's and not looking for a "spring break" atmosphere-just somewhere we can be adults since it's our first vacation away from 4 kids :) Mid-range cost on hotel-no preference on the restaurant as long as the food is worth the $$$!

West Palm Beach itself does not have any hotels directly on the beach. I recommend checking out hotel options on Singer island which is basically greater WPB. It is not too loud on the island, the beaches are awesome, and there are several restaurants in the area which also will have music opitions and great frozen beverages. (Johnny Longboats, Two drunkem Goats, the Sailfish Marina and Restaurant just to name a few).

Check out the Hilton on Singer, The Palm Beach Shores Resort, or the Marriot of Palm Beach Shores for some options. Have fun!
