Direct flight from Palm Beach area to Ft. Myers area?

I am trying to find a direct flight from West Palm Beach to Ft. Myers. All commercial flights seem to fly through Atlanta and take all day. Are there any commuter flights or other options? I know its easy enough to drive but I have a small child and I'll be by myself so I don't want to be stuck in a car - I'd rather just get over there. Thank you for your help!

I am also trying to find a flight from WPB to Ft. Myers. Did you have any luck?

Hardly likely to be such flights. There may be some from Orlando, but if you have to drive to Orlando you might as well drive to Ft. Myers. It should be about a 3-hour drive if you don't get caught in Miami traffic.

Honestly, it truly is about a 3 hour drive right across the state from West Palm Beach. You could probably find a direct flight to Tampa from PBI, but then would still have to drive to Ft. Myers...then consider checking into the airport, boarding...etc...it really is just quicker driving from point A to point B. You do not go through Miami at all, so no traffic there. Ocassionally you get stuck behind big trucks on the 2 lane highway going across state, but that is it. Map Quest your destination and see really how easy it is.
