Hi,

Easy trek! Gorepani trek might be good option for you. Its not very hard and not in high altitude, also not very long trek . Gorepani trek can be done in 5 days so try it. It might be training for you to next treks,

Have a nice trek

Day 1: Pokhara, by road to Dhampus Phedi. Trek through Dhampus to Pothana - stay overnight in a lodge there. Initially it's a steep ascent, but after an hour or so it gets much easier !

Day 2: Trek gently to Landrung

Day 3: If you've had enough descend into the Modi Khola valley and down to Nyapul for a taxi back to Pokhara, otherwise cross the river and ascend to Ghandrung (another climb !)

Day 4: Down the ridge to Birethanti & Nyapul. Back to Pokhara

This will give you a taste. Great mountain views, delightful rural landscapes and settlements, good lodges.

I will add two other treks on Alan's reply.

You can also think about Dhampus Sarangkot Trek or Chisapani Nagarkot Trek. These treks are shorts treks; one situated near Kathmandu valley and one near Pokhara but both treks will give you typical experience.

Chisapani Nagarkot Trek:

Day 01: Drive to Sundarijal, trek to Chisapani

Day 02: Trek to Nagarkot

Day 03: Drive to Kathmandu or trek to Changunarayan and drive to Kathmandu

Dhampus Sarangkot Trek

Day 01: Drive / Fly to Pokhara

Day 02: Drive to Phedi, trek to Dhampus

Day 03: Trek to Sarangkot

Day 04: Trek to Fewa Lake, drive to Pokhara

Day 05: Drive to Kathmandu!

Enjoy!

disagree that poon hill is a light trek. not at all - even ghorepani i would caution a bit.

chisapani-nagarkot-dhulikhel might be it - close to ktm - can always cut it short if there is any problem.
