Hello! My 16 year old son and I are going to be coming up to Ellijay/Dahlonega 8/8-8/11. He is attending a soccer ID camp, and touring University of North Georgia. He is a history buff, and plans that for a major. He is also very interested in our family history, and we are descendents of James Kell. We would love to see his grave site, but have been unable to find anyone to help us get access to the land there. I tried the Chamber of Commerce and Geneological Society. I was hoping someone here on the forum may have some ideas.
I also wanted to make sure everything was OK as far as flooding. We saw on the news there were some roads and bridges washed out.
Lastly we wanted to make sure the Ellijay Inn was clean and safe. I know it is not fancy, but we are traveling alone, and would feel more comfortable in a motel rather than a cabin.
Thanks in advance!
