Docotor or clinic for out of country visitor

I need some arthritis meds that I left at home in Canada. US customs has all sorts of hoops and paper work before these can be sent so it may be easier for me to see someone locallyfor a new prescription. Any suggestions? Cost I should expect expect?

Thanks, Astrid

I would call St Simons Immediate Care Center. They are the walk-in clinic on the island. They are sometimes very busy and then not. You never know about that. Their phone number is 466-5900. If not them, there are Doctors on the island who can help you. As for expense, I think you are going to have to pay the going rate. There's no way out of it, you in the USA so welcome to our healthcare nightmare.

I would first call a pharmacy to find out whether they would accept a prescription faxed from your Canadian doctor.

I am amazed! Winn Dixie filled the prescription my Canadian doctor faxed to them! Thanks for this tip. Hope other visitors discover this is possible. Life is good. A
