children's attractions around Tybee

Hi, my family is thinking of taking our vacation on Tybee this year, there are several children in our group from 6 to 15 years old, is there much for that age group, besides the beach, such as put put or game rooms.

I haven't noticed those but there is a very small aquarium museum right on the beach near the Pavilion that they might like. You can also rent bikes and bike around the many side streets on the island. If you haven't been there before, its a pretty laid back island and I haven't noticed much of the amusement type stuff but hopefully others will chime in and there may be something off Rt 80 on your way in from downtown Savannah.

Climbing up the Lighthouse is a big thing for some kids. Also, most also enjoy Fort Pulaski, even if they don't care for the historical part of it.

The older kids might enjoy kayaking. www.seakayakgeorgia.com is located on the island and will take them out with guides into the marshes. They may even take the 6 year old, you would have to ask.

there is a putt putt place on the main road into Tybee about 3 or 4 miles from the island. There are bike rentals on the island. Tybee is a laid back island.
