View of Jericho

Hello,

We will be driving from Jerusalem in a rental car towards Galilee. We can't take the car into Jericho but wanted to stop for a view over Jericho. Does anyone have tips as to where we could stop to be able to view the area?

Many thanks

Mitzpeh Yericho is a settlement with a overlook to Jericho. Vered Jericho has a similar overlook but is slightly distant from highway 1. Whichever you choose it will be a fabulous view if it's not hazy on the day of your visit. Just go into the settlement and look for the sign denoting overlook (looks sort of like a fan) or ask the guard at the entrance how to get there -- or anyone in the street. People are friendly and will offer you driving directions (it's not so big so it will only take a few minutes to get there).

I was referencing Vered Yeriho, I made a mistake saying Mitzpeh Yeriho, but the map was correct anyway (referenced to Vered Yeriho). I've been in both lookouts but only was able to see Jericho itself from "Vered Yeriho". Anyhow, you can do both!
